We met on a dating app.

Lauren and Brad met on a dating app called Bumble. On the app, potential candidates are displayed to users, who can "swipe left" to reject a candidate or "swipe right" to indicate interest.

For those seeking a heterosexual relationship, only female users can make the first contact with matched male users, and they must do so within 24 hours of the "match" being made. Once the female initiates contact, the male then has 24 hours to respond. If not, the match expires.

Lauren and Brad "swiped right" on each other. Lauren felt "meh" about Brad, but the pool of candidates online is slim pickings! She waited until the match was nearly expired before reaching out. Then, Brad was on the clock! Preoccupied with work that day, while also not overly enthusiastic about Lauren's profile, Brad didn't respond until Hour 23. The nearly missed each other!

However, conversation came very easily. Brad was engaging, articulate and funny, and Lauren was thoughtful, witty and charming. Within a week, they were on their first date. On the date, Brad was telling a ridiculously long-winded story, and Lauren kissed him in attempt to end the story – it worked.

The rest is history.
